My name is Vida. Currently I am at home on Thankful Place working as a portrait artist and a violin teacher. I studied Studio Art at Bob Jones University. God has given me the opportunity to teach ladies at a local rescue mission and young girls at our church’s Keepers at Home Club.
The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful family. My dad is a television news photographer and a deacon at our church. My mom stays at home, creatively managing the household. My older brother is serving in the military and my younger sister is an accomplished pianist and music teacher.

Hi Vida,
I saw you posted the winner to your giveaway and I thought it was me because I saw the name Vida. Turns out Vida is your name (not the winner), but I was confused because my name is also Vida.
I rarely meet anyone else with my name so I thought I’d say hello….we’re very rare.

Yes, we are quite rare! Sorry about the confusion concerning the giveaway. (I wish I had another prize to give you!) Being accustomed to (usually) having the name all to myself, I too am confused when it is used in reference to another. I am named after my aunt in Canada and, on the few occasions when we have been together, have experienced some amusing, even embarrassing, moments because of this.
